Leadership Positions

Every Spring semester, the Lambda Beta chapter holds elections. Below are the various positions and general descriptions that have been held in the past, including the key positions that need to be filled.

Core Positions

President.

Manages the chapter and leadership team to create the semester or year schedule and delegate work for execution. The president also plans agendas for all meetings and represents the chapter.

Vice President.

Works to support the president in all of their responsibilities as well as handling special tasks as assigned such as alumni and industry relations. The vice president also represents the chapter.

Treasurer.

Manages finances for the chapter including tracking receipts, submitted expenditure requests, and creating and working within the annual budget.

Corresponding Secretary.

Manages the communication between our chapter and headquarters through chapter activity reports, reporting inductions, and submitting annual reports.

Recording Secretary.

Responsible for managing general emails, meeting minutes, and communications with leadership. Also prepares and submits chapter's annual report as well as chapter meetings and events through HKN website.

All Positions.

All positions have key responsibilities, but all members of leadership will have tasks delegated to them by the president throughout their term.

Web Correspondent.

The web correspondent manages the website and can also be in charge of a committee of students to keep the website updated.

Initiation Chair.

The initiation chair is trusted to collect the list of eligible students and retain confidentiality of student information. They will be the main point of contact for initiates.

Additional Positions

Officer.

Officers help the other leadership and cover a variety of roles involved with running the organization on the chapter level.

News Correspondent.

The news correspondent posts chapter activity online. They share recaps of chapter activities (including pictures) on the website and through social media. Often, the news correspondent is also the publicity agent of the chapter.
